AI Audio Generation
Generate professional text-to-speech audio directly within your audits and templates. AI Audio Generation converts any text into natural-sounding speech, perfect for audio instructions, safety announcements, or narrated guidance.

AI Audio Generation requires your own OpenAI API key.
Accessing AI Audio Generation
You can access AI Audio Generation from anywhere you can add media attachments:
- In a template question, tap the Add Media button
- Select “Generate Audio with AI” from the menu
- Or during an audit, tap the attachment button and select AI audio
Generating Audio
Step 1: Enter Your Text
Type or paste the text you want to convert to speech. This could be:
- Safety instructions
- Procedural guidance
- Warning announcements
- Training narration
- Any spoken content for your audit
Step 2: Select a Voice
Choose from available AI voices. Voices vary by provider and may include:
- Different genders and tones
- Various accents and languages
- Professional vs. conversational styles
Step 3: Generate
Tap “Generate Audio” to create your audio file. Generation typically takes a few seconds depending on text length.
Step 4: Preview and Use
Once generated, you can:
- Play - Preview the audio before using it
- Use Audio - Add the audio to your template or audit
- Cancel - Discard and try again with different text or voice

Using Your OpenAI API Key
- Uses your own OpenAI API key
- Billed directly to your OpenAI account
- Access to all OpenAI TTS voices
- Configure in Settings → AI Template Generator
Playing Audio in Audits
Audio attachments appear with an inline player showing:
- Play/Pause button - Start or pause playback
- Progress bar - Shows playback position
- Duration - Total length of the audio
Tap the play button to listen to the audio instruction at any time during the audit.
Tips for Best Results
- Keep it concise - Shorter, focused messages are more effective
- Use punctuation - Commas and periods help create natural pauses
- Spell out abbreviations - Write “Personal Protective Equipment” instead of “PPE”
- Test different voices - Find the voice that best fits your content
- Preview before using - Always listen to the generated audio before adding it
