AI Features in Audit Plus

Audit Plus integrates artificial intelligence to streamline template creation and create custom images, audio, and video. AI features use your own API key from Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google AI. This documentation covers all AI-powered features and their configuration.

AI Settings Configuration

Access AI settings through: Settings → AI Template Generator

Supported AI Providers

Audit Plus supports three major AI providers, each with their own models and capabilities:

1. Anthropic (Claude)

  • Latest Claude models including Claude 3 Opus and Sonnet
  • Excellent at understanding complex audit requirements
  • API Key format: sk-ant-...

2. OpenAI

  • GPT-4 and GPT-3.5 models
  • GPT-Image-1 for image generation

3. Google AI

  • Gemini Pro models

Setting Up AI Providers

  1. Add API Key
    • Enter your API key in the secure field
    • Tap “Save Key” to store securely in device keychain
    • Keys are stored locally and never synced to iCloud
  2. Test Connection
    • Tap “Test” to verify your API key is valid
    • Successful test confirms proper configuration
  3. Select Model
    • Available models load automatically after saving API key
    • Choose from available models based on your needs
    • Models show context window size and output limits

AI-Powered Features

1. Template Generation

Create complete audit templates from natural language descriptions.

How to Generate Templates with AI

  1. From Templates list, tap the + button
  2. Select “Generate with AI”
  3. Choose your preferred AI model from configured providers
  4. Enter a description of your desired template
  5. Tap “Generate”

Template Description Tips

  • Be specific about the type of audit needed
  • Mention required sections or categories
  • Specify if you need compliance thresholds
  • Include any special question types needed

2. AI Image Generation

Generate custom images for templates and audits using AI.

Supported Image Providers

  • OpenAI - DALL-E models including GPT-Image-1
  • Google AI - Imagen models

Image Generation Options

  • Size Options: Square (1024x1024), Wide (1792x1024), Tall (1024x1792)
  • Quality: Standard or HD (provider dependent)
  • Style: Vivid or Natural (provider dependent)
  • Quantity: Generate 1-4 images at once

Using Image Generation

  1. Access from template editor or audit question
  2. Enter a detailed description of the desired image
  3. Select generation parameters
  4. Preview generated images
  5. Select images to use in your audit

Security and Privacy

API Key Storage

  • All API keys stored in device’s secure keychain
  • Keys are device-specific and never synced to iCloud
  • Keys are encrypted at rest
  • Can be cleared at any time from settings

Data Handling

  • Prompts sent directly to AI providers’ APIs
  • No audit data stored on AI provider servers
  • Generated content stored locally in your templates
  • Network requests use secure HTTPS connections

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

API Key Invalid

  • Verify key is entered correctly without spaces
  • Check API key hasn’t expired on provider’s website
  • Ensure billing is active on provider account

Model Not Loading

  • Check internet connection
  • Try clearing and re-entering API key
  • Some models may have regional restrictions

Generation Fails

  • Verify API quota hasn’t been exceeded
  • Try a simpler prompt
  • Check for provider service outages

Best Practices

  1. API Key Management
    • Use separate API keys for different apps
    • Monitor usage on provider dashboards
    • Set spending limits where available
  2. Prompt Engineering
    • Be specific and detailed in descriptions
    • Review and refine generated content
    • Save successful prompts for reuse
  3. Cost Management
    • Monitor token usage in model selection
    • Use appropriate models for task complexity
    • Consider caching frequently used templates

Future Enhancements

A future version of Audit Plus will leverage on-device AI Apple Foundation models for free template generation, audit summarizing, etc… without requiring API keys, providing enhanced privacy and eliminating usage costs. Stay tuned!
